Rates FAQ’s

Victoria is an out of network provider and does not participate directly with any insurance companies. However with certain Insurance plans there are ways to receive reimbursement which is detailed below.

Session Fee & Frequency:

Sessions generally occur on a weekly basis, however biweekly sessions are also available. Session frequency can change based on your stage and season of therapy. Most clients tend to experience greater progress and change when meeting more frequently, especially at the onset of therapy.

Payment

Victoria accepts online payments via Zelle, please use vsotelo@sotelotherapy.com and all credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover) and HSA (health savings accounts). Credit cards are charged with a 3.7% additional fee.

Types of Therapy: 

Victoria offers in office, tele-medical  and in special circumstances at home visits. (At home visits are generally to accommodate and facilitate a family conversation. Around topics of conflict, infidelity, divorce, gender transitioning and the like).

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation is required 48 hours prior to session.  Without 2 days notice, the full session rate will be charged to an approved credit card on file. 

Insurance:

If requested, I will provide you with a billing receipt at the end of the month. Depending on your out of network benefits, you may be eligible to get anywhere from 50-80% of your session cost reimbursed. You will need to call your insurance company to ask about your benefits and to see if you have a deductible for mental health services. Insurance plans vary, here are some questions may find helpful to ask your Insurance provider to determine your benefits:

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

• What percentage of the fee will my insurance company cover?

• Do I have an out of Network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
